首先问问，大家电话面试的时候都是怎么做的？
我就接过一个电话面试，就是老老实实地听、想，
等后来回来后跟朋友们聊，结果他们都很吃惊，说你怎么那么老实？
他们电话面试都是面前摆开一片书本、讲义，然后电脑随时google。
我后来想想，如果这么做的话，我当时有个题的确能答得更好一些，
就是问你某个分布一些特征值的问题，
我想了好一阵子，总算是蒙对了，但我跟对方说我不确定，
因为这些东西我总觉得需要时查书就可以了，所以只有一个模糊的印象。
如果当时有参考书的话，那我肯定可以100%确定地答出来，而不会是犹犹豫豫。

另外，我碰到一个brainteaser，没有做出来，等放下电话后五分钟突然就反应过来了。
我不知道这里有没有人讨论过，就是蚂蚁爬杆的问题。
一根木棍长10米，蚂蚁爬行速度大小恒定2米/秒，
现有500只蚂蚁，随机撒到这根木棍上（可以设均匀分布），
每个蚂蚁爬行的方向是随机的，要么左要么右，1/2概率。
如果两只蚂蚁碰撞，那么他们同时转向，以相同速率、相反方向继续爬行；
当蚂蚁爬到木棍顶点时，继续移动就掉了出去。
设t为从开始到木棍上一只蚂蚁都不剩所需的时间，求t的均值。

当时一心认定是个数学问题，直觉认为500这个数字应该跟结论无关，
对方暗示似乎的确如此，但需要证明，我就在想deduction，但是蚂蚁一碰撞就乱掉了。
等挂掉电话，郁闷地开始继续考虑，在纸上开始瞎画蚂蚁时，
脑子中开始浮现一群蚂蚁爬呀爬，然后突然形象思维一帮忙就想出了一个直观的解释。

还有其他几个题，但相对来说就简单了。
比如一个fair dice掷三次，你又一次机会可以喊停，
一旦喊停，色子上给出几，你就得几块钱。求最佳策略。
另外，如果可以掷无数次而不是三次，最佳策略又是什么。

嗯，我后来就是自己在脑子中想象碰撞场景时突然意识到了这一点，

偶有个小疑问. 因为蚂蚁落在杆子上后
有两个可能的方向, 假设落点为X,
那么平均时间是
E(t) = x/2 * 1/2 + (10-x)/2 * 1/2 = 5/2.
在您的求解中您似乎假设了蚂蚁只沿着一个
预先固定的方向走, 即长度x的方向.
按照偶的理解,一只蚂蚁的平均之间是 5/2.
那么N只蚂蚁之间是独立的, 因为碰撞正好
抵消他们之间的影响, 那么总的平均时间取决于
他们中的最大时间, 而这个最大时间跟位置没有

假设A蚂蚁和B蚂蚁碰撞,最后B蚂蚁要完成的路程由A完成,A完成的由B完成.
所以蚂蚁碰撞跟只有一个蚂蚁应该是一种情况.

首先，500只蚂蚁和一只蚂蚁是一样的。
然后，考虑一只蚂蚁的最简单情况就行了。
关键是如何证明500只和1只是一回事。
我刚才回到家google了一下，在网上看到一个非常好的解释，
就是想象成每个蚂蚁扛一个大棒子，
只要保证每个蚂蚁必须扛且只能扛一个棒子，
那么考虑蚂蚁的运动和考虑棒子的运动就是一回事。

下面就只考虑棒子了。
这个问题复杂就在于：看起来蚂蚁会被碰来撞去的，所以时间不好计算。
但是你可以想象成：两个蚂蚁一旦碰撞，他们立马交换棒子，然后反弹回去。

you are right in the sense that the collision doesn't matter. However, the
number of ants matters in order to compute the time.
Intuitively, the more ants, the more chance one of the ants needs to walk
longer to finish since the question asks the expectation of the MAXIMUM
travel time.

E(X) ＝ 5000/501

E(t) = 5000/(501*2)

In the case of one ant, the answer is 5/2;

因为我记不清楚是问平均最大时间还是极值最大时间了。
极值最大时间应该很简单，就是5秒。
平均最大时间要算期望的话，可能要考虑order statistics，也许数目会有关系。

我对有些东西就是挺犹豫的，假纯洁，呵呵，
像之前有朋友面试同一公司，
回来主动要跟我说他面试的内容，被我拒绝了。
我会问一些大方向的问题，比如behavior问题为主还是case还是什么啦，
编程还是计量还是brainteaser啦，
但一具体到题我就不想知道了，觉得知道了心里不踏实，做贼似的。
我公开讨论的真题也都是先问过对方、得到允许后才公开讨论的。

刚刚想了太简单了，删了
下面得应该对得

假设一只蚂蚁在棍子上的时间为t
那么t的概率分布是：
Pr(t=Pr(t设这只蚂蚁在一根棍子上的起始位置为y(从顶端算起）y~U(0,10)
Pr(tPr(t10-2x)

那么就此可以求出Pr(t设500只蚂蚁在棍上的时间为T,其中每只蚂蚁在棍上的时间为ti, 且互相独立

就可以求得T得概率分布
然后算均值

uniform分布是对称的, 所以没有问题. 如果要严格一点, 这个
分布应该是 D=X with probability 1/2 and 10-X with probability
1/2. 再求max(D_1, ..., D_n). 打个比方, 如果一个蚂蚁离左边2m, 但是
it 往右爬, its D 应该是 10-2=8. 如果分布不对称的话, 要先求一下.
